vintage, shabby, white…

this is the first of several projects for my tiny screened porch—I’ll show the rest as I finish them.  when I found this sweet little $12.00 chair, it was stained brown with a orange faux leather cushion…(forgot to take a b4 pic), but, here’s the after.

its new fabric cover is an old waverly chintz fabric that I’ve had forever.  it’s going to be beautiful here, today, so, I’m off to my garden!
thanks for looking:)

  1. So pretty Lynn. I love that fabric too. I had covered my stool that goes to my make up table in fabric very similar by Waverly. :)

    Hugs~

  34. Gorgeous, Lynn! I love the way the floral fabric looks against the white of the chair. This chair reminds me of my old dining room set {which I passed onto the daughter when we down-sized}. I think that set would look great white, too. I'm your newest follower now! : )

  38. Hi Lynn. Thanks for popping over to my blog and posting your lovely comment. I have only recently found your blog over the last two weeks but love your stuff. I saw someone use a cast iron fire in their garden once but not a surround, it looks great, I'm thinking I may even have to go and see what they have in the second hand shop around the corner and pinch your idea, if you don't mind. I wish my husband was as handy as yours. Mine hates all diy so it is left to me. Looking forward to seeing what you do next. You seem to have better thrift/second hand shops over there. x
