easter bonnets…

I like to use straw hats in my spring decorations.  I recently found a cast iron table with a broken marble top.  with the top removed, I thought it would make a cute hat holder-—(below on the right).

the little hat in the middle is actually a lamp, that was found at a garage sale, and the hat on the left is being held up with a paper towel holder.

happy easter, everyone!

garden gloves…

today, I have some simple projects.  the first two projects use some cute gloves from the dollar store.
I filled one glove with some flowers, and moss and hung it on the front door.

and I’m using the gloves as silverware holders on easter this year.  the tiny wood bunny was from at a local garden center.

and the last project—super fast and easy to do.  I found a couple of cherub plaques for just $3.00, and slapped a coat of paint on them.

I hope you have a happy easter, and thanks for looking!

rainy day project…

this is my first outdoor decoration this year-an umbrella filled with silk flowers, hanging on my front gate.  the umbrella is edged with white ruffles, so when I found it at target last year, I had to have it.

not my original idea, though, check out my inspiration pin, isn’t it sweet?

and since, this was a rainy project, I’ll show my new rain boots. now, I’m ready to trudge around in the muddy garden.  but, not today…
our weatherman just said we are 50 degrees colder this year from last year.  “sigh”

a few small projects and a tub…

I got to go junking recently and found some odds and ends for my fireplace.
the first project was a baby shoe, which I replaced the laces with seam binding, added some lace, dried statice, and a rose and greenery to the tiny shoe.

target had $3 nests—a small nest sat inside a larger nest.  below, is the smaller nest.  I just added laces and ribbons and 3 old doorknobs to it.
and the claypot, in the cloche, has some moss and a single hydrangea added to it.

this chalkboard was found at hobby lobby.  the nest has robin egg blue eggs, seam binding, a little hope sign and lace edging and it’s all sitting in an old blue melamine bowl.

a white wreath was found at a restore store for just 50 cents.  it had some worn xmas ornaments on it, which I removed.

originally, I added a bunny to the wreath, but, it fell off the wall, –and the cute bunny shattered:(

and here is everything on my mantle.

I love picmonkey and my new claw foot tub!  it’s not installed yet, but, it’s cute to look at:)
