chippy and ruffled…

happy labor day weekend, everyone!
with my craft furniture back in it’s own room, my great room needed some spots filled in.  so, I set up my iron baby bed.
a ruffled twin bed skirt was cut and sewn to fit the bed cushion.  I also switched out the plain white curtains for ruffled curtains that were in the guest bedroom.

the cute blue clock was found at a junk store.

this mirrored door was on a cabinet I’ve had for years.  the cabinet is now out in the cottage, door-less.

my friend gave me this new magazine, vintage holiday christmas, to read. it’s awesome—full of colorful and white christmas ideas:)

todays charming blog is the cottage market!
thanks for looking!

we’ve worked on it, off and on all summer.  it’s done, and I LOVE it!  I’m so lucky to have a husband with the skills and motivation to build whatever I can think up—thank you, sweetie!

we tried to use stuff we already had to keep the price down, (just under $1000).  the blue links show the items past life.  the floor was our old 10x10 deck.  the front of it has leaded glass windows, an old header above the chippy door, and an old porch post, which is cut in half.

love the little finials at the top of the peaks.

there’s a scalloped arch. element in the center of the rooftop.

you can read how we etched the zinc roof here.

inside- there are french doors  from my dining remodel. (it was foggy outside, when I took this picture).

across from the french doors, are 3 more windows, also, from our recent remodel.

I showed the back wall, earlier here.  now, I need to add some landscaping and I think I need to name her:)
thanks so much for all the sweet comments from my last post:)

today’s charming blog is down to earth!

vintage whites…

I thought I’d pop in to share a few things today.  I dragged my garden fireplace into the new shed, and, it might just stay there.

the shed was wired for electricity, so, I wanted a chandelier for it.  recently, I met nicki, (from the vintage farmhouse-she’s very sweet), and I walked away with this awesome old chandelier—thanks, nicki:)

my husband needs to rewire, but, I might not paint this one, not sure yet.  I love it’s details.

my big clock, $17 find!  and a rose print.

a garage sale find—3’embossed tin shelf

junk store leaded window and wings-the wings were metallic gold, so, I painted them.

a chippy corbel

a small frame is a hobby lobby find.

today’s charming blog is lakehouse!
I have a hundred almost finished projects in the works and the shed is finished—pics coming on the next post.
I hope you all are enjoying this summer and thanks for looking today!
