chippy and ruffled…

happy labor day weekend, everyone!
with my craft furniture back in it’s own room, my great room needed some spots filled in.  so, I set up my iron baby bed.
a ruffled twin bed skirt was cut and sewn to fit the bed cushion.  I also switched out the plain white curtains for ruffled curtains that were in the guest bedroom.

the cute blue clock was found at a junk store.

this mirrored door was on a cabinet I’ve had for years.  the cabinet is now out in the cottage, door-less.

my friend gave me this new magazine, vintage holiday christmas, to read. it’s awesome—full of colorful and white christmas ideas:)

If I had extra room I would just do it anyway. You have the same wooden wings I have--I just love them. That clock is so cute--I love how big it is. What a lucky find. Love this room!

  16. You are such a busy girl - one with such lovely style! That baby bed makes a great settee - I used to have one when my kiddos were little. I sold it years ago. Yours makes me want mine back! But I have no place for it. So...on top of everything else, you're recovering a sofa! I just plain feel lazy...

  26. Lynn, did you use a standard baby mattress? I bought a blue iron crib a few years ago and have done nothing with it as the previous owner told me I needed a custom mattress made. Wondering if you did, too? Your room is so beautiful, as always!

    1. hi tina,

i didn't buy a mattress,--i had 2-two inch foam mattress pads for a twin bed that i cut up into 2 pieces-2' x 4',--(from target a couple years ago). i always try to use stuff around the house, if possible. it's not as firm as a mattress, but, it's cushy:) now, i gotta teach bailey, the bed isn't for her-haha!
