a sweet ladder…

I found a sweet old ladder at an outdoor market (at salvage sisters) last weekend.

I’ve been looking for just the right one, and as soon as I saw this, I knew it had to come home with me.

there is a blue pumpkin in the ironstone bowl on top of it.  but, the front of the ladder needed something, so, I dug out some of my papers, lace, ribbons, a stamped metal tag and made a banner.

I followed city farmhouse’s toilet paper roll tutorial for the pumpkin and wrapped it with a pip berry vine after seeing town and country’s cute pumpkins).

and lastly, I planted a vanilla strawberry hydrangea this spring.  it didn’t love our hot, dry summer, but, I did get a few blooms from it.

though, I didn’t get the promised look below…  I’m hoping for a better crop next year.

  9. Love the sweet ladder and the aqua pumpkins Lynn! I have to get the tutorial a try, looks so easy peasy. That aqua burlap is so pretty! Oh and about the strawberry hydrangea I think you're lucky that you got one! I was searching for it here all summer but couldn't find one yet, but planted a Limelight hydrangea instead. I saw some awesome photos of it and hope mine will grow in such a stunning plant too, but I'll still have an eye open for the strawberry one. They need a lot of watering that's for sure!
    Sending you happy Autumn wishes

  12. Your ladder was a great find, but the way you dressed it up makes it extra special, Lynn! I don't know what's behind it, but it looks like it needs a blog post of its own. Love the toilet paper pumpkin, too! I'm already a follower of Anne. I'm amazed by how much the 2 of you get done in a very short time!
