the diy $2.25 ladder…

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.  ours was great—my husband outdid himself with the cooking.  he is such a great cook!

he’s also a great with woodworking.  I asked him how much would it cost to make a ladder.  it would not be a “real” ladder, just for decoration.  he said about $3.00… and he was right.

$2.25 for 3-1 x 2 x 8 furring strips-lowes.  (nothing for the wood glue, nail gun, paint, and miter saw-that we already owned).  the stores want $25 and up for these ladders.  these would make great xmas gifts, too:)

30 minutes to cut and put together.  and you can make it any size you want.  mine is 6’ and it gets wider toward the bottom.

tina at what we keep had a fund raiser recently, and here’s the embroidered towel she made for me.  it’s gorgeous—thanks, tina!

I just brought in a ladder this morning... painted and ready for who knows what. I haven't decided yet. LOL I am not surprised that you and your hubby have AGAIN done something spectacularly simple. Your ladder looks wonderful and I love how you styled it, of course. ;) Thanks so much for the mention, you're a sweetie.
